The weather in Sri Lanka is dictated by two monsoon seasons which bring rain to the west and south-west coasts from May to September and the east coast and northern region between October and February. The rest of the year is sunny and dry. Temperatures are constant year-round, with coastal regions enjoying average temperatures of 25-30C and the highlands 15-18C on average.

DAY -1- AIRPORT (BIA) |KANDY
Upon arrival at the Colombo Bandaranayake International Airport, you will be received warmly by our representative. You will then be escorted to your vehicle to begin your holiday in Sri Lanka.
Proceed to Kandy En route visit PINNAWALA ELEPHANT ORPHANAGE – Approx. 55 miles from Colombo, off the Colombo-Kandy Road is Pinnawela. Here an orphanage was started in 1975 to house abandoned and wounded elephants. The number of elephants has increased to more than 65 now; including baby elephants brought from various parts, as well more than 25 babies born because of the captive breeding programmer. The best time to visit is the feeding time from 0915-0945hrs and 1415-1445hrs. The bathing time from 1000-11.00hrs and 1500-1600hrs. When all the elephants are taken to the river close by.

There are more than 5,000 species of trees, plants and creepers. Some which are rare and endemic, as well as flora from the tropical world are found in the gardens. The Spice Garden and Orchid House are popular with tourists. There are 5 Palm Avenues beautifying the gardens, the earliest and tallest, Royal Palm Avenue, was planted in 1905 and the Double Coconuts from the Seashells Island, with the largest seed of all plants in the world, is one such avenue
KANDY – Located in the foothills of the central highlands, Kandy, Sri Lanka’s renowned second city is a beautiful city, surrounded by hills and valleys, rivers, lakes, and cascading waterfalls. the charming hill capital, is the centre of Sri Lanka’s rich culture and a World Heritage City or it may be said that Kandy is a perfect place to explore the unique history and the beautiful culture simultaneously. Kandy is full of magnificent architecture displaying Indian and Sinhalese designs. It is a most sacred city for Buddhists with numerous temples and shrines, based on Buddhist architecture. Kandy was declared as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1988.

DAY 2- KANDY |NUWARA ELIYA
Breakfast at Hotel – Check out and Procced to Nuwara Eliya
Located in Kandy, long a center of the Buddhist faith, the stunning 17th-century TEMPLE OF SACRED TOOTH RELIC is believed to house the left upper canine tooth of the Lord Buddha himself. This precious relic attracts white-clad pilgrims, bearing lotus blossoms and frangipani, every day.
According to legend, the tooth was taken from the Buddha as he lay on his funeral pyre. It was smuggled to Sri Lanka in 313 AD, hidden in the hair of Princess Hemamali who fled the Hindu armies besieging her father’s kingdom in India.
It immediately became an object of great reverence and was enshrined in a series of nested jeweled reliquaries. The tooth was brought out for special occasions and paraded on the backs of elephants, which are sacred to the Buddha. Where it survived numerous attempts to capture and destroy it.
When the capital was moved to Kandy, the tooth was taken to the new city and placed in temples built to honor it. The temple was originally built under Kandyan kings between 1687 and 1707

NUWARA ELIYA (City of Lights), blessed with salubrious climate, breathtaking views of valleys, meadows, mountains, and greenery; Surrounded by hills and tea plantations, the town of Nuwara Eliya enjoys spring-like weather throughout the year. It is also known as “Little England”, which was the favorite hill station of the British who tried to create Nuwara Eliya into a typical English Village. The old brick Post office, country house like hill club with its hunting pictures, trophies, and strict formal dinner attire; the 18-hole golf course, horse racecourse, etc., all remind you of “England”.
City tour: You can also add Haggala Gardens (Ashoka Vatika), Seetha Eliya and. Seetha Eliya is a temple which was mentioned in the famous epic Ramayana. Haggala is a temperate hill-country garden where languid low-country lotus and water lily float in their serene loveliness.

YALA, situated in the southeast corner of the island, is home to the greatest variety of Sri Lanka’s wildlife. Its varying habitats, consisting of scrub plains, jungles, rocky outcrops, freshwater lakes, rivers and beaches, provides home to many species of animals including sloth bear, herds of elephants, buffalo, monkeys, sambar, deer, crocodiles and the endangered leopard subspecies, Panthera Pardus Kotiya, which is only found in Sri Lanka.

DAY 4 – YALA |COLOMBO
At dusk, visit the YALA NATIONAL PARK with a total protected area of 126,768 hectares, Yala consists of scrub plains, lagoons and rocky sections and offers the broadest cross-section of the country’s flora and fauna. In terms of game-viewing this is probably the best place to see all the ‘big three’: elephant, leopard and water buffalo. It is estimated that Yala is home to about
35 Leopard making it one of the world’s densest leopard populations. Countless other animals including sloth bear, deer, wild boar, crocodiles, monkeys, and numerous species of birds can also be seen.
Proceed to Colombo via Expressway
COLOMBO CITY TOUR drive through the city taking you to the busy commercial areas as well as the tree lined residential, Cinnamon Gardens, Visit Fort, the former British administrative Centre and military garrison, Sea Street – the Goldsmiths quarters in the heart of Pettah, the Bazaar area, where is also a Hindu Temple with elaborate stone carvings, and the Dutch Church of Wolfe dhal dating back to 1749. Also visit the BMICH, see the replica of Avukana Buddha & the Independence Square. The imposing Colombo National Museum, dedicated to Sri Lankan history, borders sprawling Viharamahadevi Park and its giant Buddha.
Start shopping in Colombo, Visit ODEL, House of Fashion, Arcade Independence square, Racecourse, and Beverly Street, visit bargain market in Colombo Pettah.
COLOMBO NIGHT LIFE – Colombo has such an active nightlife. After-dark entertainment takes place around the Fort and Cinnamon Gardens area of the city. A few bars that are popular with both locals and visitors include “In on The Green” adjoining Galle Face Hotel, Cheers Pub in Cinnamon Grand Hotel, Dutch Pub, Rhythm & Blue , and Koluu’s Tulips on Duplication Road. If you plan to go dancing and clubbing, dress well and show up late. Most of the action doesn’t get started until around midnight, and there is some competition for admittance. It is not unusual for parties of single men to be turned away. Once you’re in, though, the party goes on all night
