    China Visa FAQs

A Chinese visa is a stamp or endorsement placed by officials of China on a passport that allows the bearer to visit China. “Visit” is further defined as the reason for entry, usually business, tourist or transitory. Chinese visas are obtained through a visa service provider known as the Chinese Visa Application Service Center recognized by the Chinese Embassy or Consulate General to handle the daily routine work of processing China Visa applications.
All Indian nationals require a visa for China. If you are traveling to mainland China, whether for business or tourism, you require a Chinese Visa to be obtained from the Embassy/Consulate prior to your trip.
A Single and Double entry China Visa is valid for 90 days from issuance. You can enter China within the validity of 90 days from the date of issue (please note the time difference between China and India). And from the date of your entry, you can stay in China for 30 days (the duration period is written on the visa label).
The Australia Visa is an E-Visa i.e. it is not a Sticker visa endorsed on the passport, once decision is taken by the Australian High Commission; E-Visa will be mailed on the registered Email ID which is mentioned on the visa form.

    China country travel guide

If you are looking for a destination that is exotic, packed full of new sights and experiences, stimulating, and over all different, China is best in the world. China isn’t a place where you just go to enjoy a vacation — it is a destination where you can discover a country that’s vastly different from your own.

China, an ancient, mysterious and beautiful land, is always appealing to adventurous foreign visitors. As the third largest country in the world occupying an area of 9,600,000 sq km, it spans 62 degrees of longitude and 49 degrees of latitude. A wide variety of terrain and climate shape its numerous natural attractions. Abundant in a variety of resources, plants, animals, and minerals, the land has nurtured countless generations of Chinese people.

One of China’s greatest treasures is her long, rich history. As early as 1.7 million years ago, the earliest humans evolved on this land. The first dynasty, the Xia Dynasty, dates to about the 21st century BC. For 4,000 years, feudalism was the dominant economic and cultural model. Then, in 1911, the revolution led by Sun Yat-sen brought the monarchy to an end. On October 1st, 1949, PRC was founded, fully named the ‘People’s Republic of China’. Since then, this country has developed independently and vigorously. Most recently, reform and opening-up policy has energized life in this country.

China is proud of her many people, long history, resplendent culture and distinctive customs. Among her greatest gifts to the world are the ‘four great inventions’ (paper, gunpowder, printing and the compass).

Chinese arts and crafts, including painting, calligraphy, operas, embroidery and silk are distinctive and unique. Kung Fu, which have only recently begun to enjoy popularity in other parts of the world have been part of Chinese culture for centuries, and Chinese literature is testifies to the country’s rich heritage. And, of course, there is Chinese food, which has been exported to every corner of the globe.

China is bordered by 14 countries, neighbouring to 8 countries. It borders North Korea and Russia to the northeast, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan to the northwest, Mongolia due north, Afghanistan and Pakistan to the west, India, Nepal and Bhutan to the southwest, Myanmar, Laos and Vietnam to the south.

China’s language supersedes others in originality and complexity. Kung fu and tai chi similarly surpass karate, taekwondo, and Thai boxing

As a vast country in the world, the wide territory of China carries a variety of terrains, landform and climate. In China, people can either prance on the prairie grasslands; go west into the stretching deserts in Xinjiang, listening to a long echo of camel bells in the river sunset; take an adventure tour to Tibet, the nearest place to the sky and the purest paradise on earth. In China, people can not only travel to the fairyland on earth – Jiuzhaigou, to witness the charming and color of water, but also can pay worship visit to Mount Tai – one of the most famous mountains in China. In China, people can have a leisure holiday in Hainan with the blue sea and silver sand, lying on a beach chair to take a break from the hustle and bustle of life… The nature has provided various wonders and endless beauty to China.

China has also a variety of folk culture. The traditional forms of art include poetry, drama, calligraphy, Chinese painting, etc. Traditional Chinese festivals have the Spring Festival (Chinese Lunar New Year), Lantern Festival, Tomb-sweeping Day, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, the Double Ninth Festival, etc.
