In the age of online booking sites, using a travel agent may feel like going the way of the dinosaur. But agents are more useful than simply selling trips and cruises. Many agents still provide services or have knowledge that you just can’t get online and sometimes,
especially in times of crisis, working with a real live person is just plain superior.
Here are the 6 reasons why you need a travel agent

1. Cost-Savings

The best travel agents have unique access to benefits that can save you a lot of money and provide you with a better experience
free room upgrades, spa credits, food and beverage credits are just a few of the things that agents can get, that you can’t.
Add in hard-to-get restaurant reservations, exclusive or priority access to attractions, added amenities,
and you will have a lot more value for your travel money.

2. He/She will guide you

Simply put, they know more than you. They can give you insider tips and advice, using their personal experience to guide your vacation decisions in a way that provides you with the best vacation possible for you and your hard-earned investment. They have access to the personal feedback from hundreds of clients, and their own personal travel agent network, to provide insights you can’t get on online sites.

3. They Are Influential

Many travel agents develop personal relationships with individuals at the companies they sell. They leverage these relationships to get you
things you can’t get on your own. That “sold out” room or the connecting rooms you want for your extended family trip when the
online sites say they aren’t available. They also have exclusive entrée to experiences you might not know are available to you.

4. They Are Problem Solvers

In addition to getting you more on any particular trip, they can step in and fix things when your trip goes awry.
The average consumer books one or two trips per year, typically with different travel suppliers, so they have little or no leverage when things go wrong.
The travel agent is constantly selling a particular supplier and has the leverage to fix things, even when the supplier isn’t directly at fault.
Travel suppliers value the travel agent’s business much more than any individual traveler.
They will step up to make things right or simply to make sure that traveler, and their travel agent, are happy.

5. Time-Savings

Instead of searching blindly on the Internet for hours, days, or even weeks depending on the complexity of the travel plans you can have an
expert do the research for you, with your personal needs in mind. They do it for every component of the trip and very often do it at no cost to you.

6. They Are Saviors

If anything should go wrong during your trip, you can rely on them to assist you. A travel agent will suggest and arrange alternate travel arrangements, help you to deal with any travel emergency you may have, and put you in touch with the right local people to answer your needs.
There are other reasons to consider booking with a travel agent. If you’re planning a multi-stop trip with layovers and connecting flights,
travel agents might find combinations you wouldn’t. And if you’re planning a trip that involves a big group of people, tours and sightseeing,
or might involve visas, inoculation or complicated passport requirements, a travel agent might be your best bet.
And if something goes wrong, there’s an emergency, or you need to cancel, travel agents are a safety net.
Finally, most travel agents won’t charge you for their work so it literally won’t cost you anything to give them a shot.
We all know there are good service travel agencies & the bad ones, so how is it that you filter the best out of them?
by learning about the travel agency!
Here are some tips
  1. By number of years they are functioning

    1. A few tips to make the trip easy and hassle free:

      Please Travel light.
As Europe follows a self service pattern, we will need to help ourselves with luggage at many places.

      Things to carry:
1- Closed pair of shoes with socks
2- Personal medicines and emergencies like fevers or colds, stomach upsets, painkillers etc.
      3- light jacket/sweater.
4- avoid jewellery and expensive valuables
5- foreign exchange for personal use (Currency: Euro) and credit cards
6- Any personal travel items like medical belts for neck/waist if required for long travelling hours.
7- Avoid heavy hand bags. Keep yourself comfortable
8- A tupperware bottle to fill drinking tap water (bottled water in Europe is expensive)
9- Toilets in Europe do not have cleaning hose / bidet. You may carry wet wipes/disposable plastic bottle to fill water for toilet use.

Carry your power banks in your hand bags.

  2. Hiring a travel agent isn’t a bad choice if you are new to that place and you don’t know the way of the street yet the travel agent will guide you and also it will save the time as well as cost for travelling as they are habitual to places and in last I would like to say if you are new to country always hire a travel agent so that there is difficulty would be face in future.

  3. There are many reasons for hire any travel agent when you are going to other state for visiting as they are proficient in exploring you knew places and they will guide you better as they know all the ways to the cities and oblivious they will save your time in visiting they will also assist you better.

  4. Agree with you that travel agents are saviors, sometimes life saviors too. They got contacts with the local people and services, which could be helpful in various manners while their tourists are on the visit. Travel agents knows very well that which itinerary is suitable, as per your requirements and design it accordingly to provide their customers hassle-free travel experience.
